The EL18-18 showing host rock gabbro with its related nickel-copper mineralization were emplaced mid-Jurassic to mid-Cretaceous time.

In 2018, Garibaldi Resources was performing exploration drilling on its E&L property. Drill holes EL-18-28 was completed about 1.4 kilometre south of the E&L deposit, to test portions of a magnetic anomaly. Both holes outlined mostly Hazelton volcanic rocks Though the drill was not considered to have intersected significant mineralization it did intersect 39 metres of melagabbro from 679.8 to 718 metres with trace to 1 per cent pyrite and chalcopyrite.
